Contemporary Frames
My name is Geoff Scardthomas. I set up my first picture gallery in 1976. Over the years I have seen fashions change for frames in tandem with the art that they present. I can remember a time when the largest selling mountboard was dark brown! Today, we tend to let the artwork do the shouting and, surely, that is as it should be.

Having carried out a series of lectures throughout southern England during the eighties and nineties, mostly to art groups and societies, I have conversed with professional and amateur artists comprehensively.

I have run picture framing services to a local community for the last thirty years, at the same time presenting work for artists in all mediums and subjects. In 1994 I qualified as a Fine Art Trade Guild Commended Framer.
